Editorial Policy & Content Standards
This site exists to share practical engineering knowledge from real production experience. Every article is written, reviewed, and maintained by a single author—not a content team, not AI, not guest contributors. This page explains the principles that guide content creation and maintenance.
Content Creation Standards
Every article must meet these requirements before publication:
Experience-Based Writing: I only write about technologies and patterns I've implemented in production systems. If I haven't built it, debugged it, and maintained it, I don't write about it.
Practical Over Theoretical: Content prioritizes what works in real systems over academic completeness. Trade-offs, edge cases, and failure scenarios are always addressed.
Clear Decision Frameworks: Readers should understand not just how to implement something, but when to use it and when not to. Every article includes trade-off analysis and decision guidance.
Production-Ready Code: Code examples are complete and production-grade, not simplified snippets. Error handling, edge cases, and security considerations are included.
Technical Accuracy
Technical accuracy is non-negotiable:
- All code examples are tested in real development environments
- Integration guides are verified against current API versions
- Security recommendations follow current best practices
- Performance claims are backed by real measurements where possible
When information becomes outdated, articles are updated or clearly marked with revision dates.
Content Review & Updates
Content maintenance is as important as creation:
- Articles are reviewed periodically for accuracy
- Breaking changes in referenced technologies trigger updates
- Reader feedback that identifies errors is addressed promptly
- Publication and last-updated dates are always visible
I don't publish content that I can't maintain. The scope of this site reflects what one person can keep accurate over time.
What This Site Doesn't Do
To maintain quality and trust, this site:
- Does not accept sponsored content or paid placements
- Does not publish press releases or vendor-provided content
- Does not use affiliate links that could bias recommendations
- Does not prioritize SEO over reader value
- Does not publish content faster than it can be properly reviewed
Corrections & Feedback
If you find an error, outdated information, or have technical feedback:
- Contact me directly via the contact page
- Specify the article and the issue
- I'll review and correct confirmed errors promptly
I take accuracy seriously and appreciate readers who help maintain it.
